Reduction in the prices of mustard, soybean oil
Anytime the prices of oil start touching the sky. Due to this, the budget of the kitchen starts deteriorating. But recently, softness is being seen in the oil market. The prices which came to the fore in Delhi’s wholesale oil-oilseed market on Saturday. There has been a decrease in them. A decrease is being seen in the prices of mustard, soyabean, crude palm oil, palm oil etc. According to media reports, no increase or decrease has been observed in the prices of groundnut oil and oilseed crops.

The prices of indigenous crops are not decreasing
A crisis is coming in front of businessmen and farmers that the price of indigenous oilseeds is not breaking in the country. It remains at the height itself. Due to the cheapness of foreign imported oil, the pressure has increased on reducing the price of light country oil like Indian Mustard, Groundnut, Soybean and Cottonseed. Experts say that in order to improve the condition of indigenous crops, the central government will have to consider the imported oil policy. If no action is taken soon, then the local crops will not be consumed due to the cheap and expensive ones. Their domestic stock will increase. If the crops start getting spoiled then the farmers will suffer huge losses. The government should end the exemption of import of duty free edible oil. Instead, import duty should be imposed on oils.

Edible oil is available at ports
There is a lot of edible oil available at the country’s ports. Experts say that oil has been imported from many countries at cheap prices. All the oil is stored at the ports. Due to this, there has been a fall in the prices of oil in the market. Oil has become cheaper in other countries as well. It has also affected the prices of imported oil.

Still customers do not get cheap oil
The price of soybean, sunflower oil at the port ranges from Rs 102 to 105 per litre. Its price in the market should be around Rs.130. But in the country it is being sold for 175 to 200 rupees. At the same time, arbitrary prices have been fixed in the mall. A 900 gram pack of groundnut oil costs Rs 170, which is sold up to Rs 250.
